Questions about electrical service pricing
What is the difference between a panel upgrade and a service upgrade?
Panel work focuses on the breaker panel. A service upgrade addresses the incoming electrical supply and associated service equipment. Your property may require either or both. The panel price shown above is for 100-amp panel work. Compare panel and service upgrades.
Are materials and permits included?
Standard materials and permits are included in the listed 100-amp panel, full 100-amp service, and full 200-amp service-upgrade ranges. We confirm the equipment, work, and any additional project requirements in your quote.
Does fixture installation include the light fixture?
You supply the light fixture. The listed price covers installation of that fixture; fixture purchase is not included.
Does standard switch replacement include a dimmer?
The listed price includes a standard switch. Dimmer switches are quoted separately.
What if troubleshooting finds a part that needs replacement?
The troubleshooting service includes diagnosis and repair when no parts need to be supplied and installed. If parts are needed, we explain the findings and quote the required work.
Is troubleshooting automatically added to a replacement price?
No. If fault diagnosis is needed before a replacement, we quote that work separately before proceeding. The listed standard outlet, GFCI, and branch-breaker replacement prices include one standard device, labor, the visit, and routine testing for straightforward work at an existing serviceable location during normal hours.
